Description
CE-31 is a synthetic aromatic-cationic tetrapeptide, D-Arg-2,6-dimethyl-Tyr-Lys-Phe-NH2, formula C32H49N9O5, molecular weight approximately 639.8 Da. Its alternating cationic and aromatic residues confer selective, potential-independent association with cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where in-vitro studies report stabilisation of cristae architecture and cytochrome c-cardiolipin interactions. Supplied as a lyophilised powder. For laboratory research use only.
